Privacy Choices

Operational draft: This page uses an email-based process and does not claim an automated rights portal. Counsel and operations should validate response workflows, jurisdiction-specific deadlines, authorized-agent procedures, appeal routing, identity-verification standards, Global Privacy Control handling, and any legally required toll-free or webform method.

1. How to submit a privacy request

Email privacy@scryon.io with the subject "Privacy Request" and include:

your name and the business email address or professional-profile URL likely associated with the record;
your country and US state, if applicable;
the right or choice you want to exercise;
whether you use a Scryon account or believe your information was collected indirectly; and
enough context to locate the information, such as company, title, event, customer, or relevant page.

Do not send a passport, driver's license, government identifier, or other sensitive document with your initial email. If additional verification is necessary, we will explain what is needed and seek a proportionate, secure method.

2. Choices that may be available

Depending on your location, our role, and applicable exceptions, you may ask us to:

Access or know: confirm whether we process your information and provide access, categories, sources, purposes, or recipients.
Correct: update inaccurate professional, account, event, or contact information.
Delete: remove information that we are not required or permitted to retain.
Restrict: limit processing in circumstances recognized by applicable law.
Port: provide eligible information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
Object: stop processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing and certain profiling.
Opt out: opt out of a qualifying sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Withdraw consent: withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the legal basis.
Request human review: ask us to review a score, inference, or automated output associated with you.

Scryon states that it does not sell personal information for money, use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, target sensitive data, or make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. We will nevertheless evaluate opt-out requests under the law applicable to you.

For professional information sourced indirectly, an upheld objection or deletion request may result in a minimal suppression record so the information is not reintroduced from another source. See our Business Data Notice.

3. Cookie consent and Global Privacy Control

Use the site's cookie banner or "Cookie Preferences" control to accept, reject, or customize non-essential analytics and to withdraw consent later. The consent controls are intended to be available globally. Rejecting optional analytics should not prevent use of core public-site content.

Scryon treats a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a rejection of non-essential analytics and, where legally applicable, as an opt-out of sale or sharing for that browser or device. You may also block or delete browser storage directly. See the Cookie Policy.

If the on-site preference mechanism is unavailable, email privacy@scryon.io with the subject "Cookie Consent" and describe the issue. Email cannot itself delete cookies already stored in your browser.

4. Authorized-agent requests

Where permitted, an authorized agent may email privacy@scryon.io with the subject "Authorized Agent Privacy Request." The message should identify the person, requested right, applicable jurisdiction, and agent contact details and include signed permission or other legally sufficient authority.

We may contact the person directly to verify identity and confirm authorization unless valid power of attorney or applicable law provides otherwise. An agent must protect information received and use it only to fulfill the request.

5. Verification, response timing, and limits

We will use information reasonably related to the request to verify identity, authority, and the records involved. The required verification may vary based on data sensitivity and risk. If we cannot verify a request, we will explain the issue where permitted.

We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law. Some laws permit an extension when reasonably necessary; if so, we will provide notice and the reason. We generally do not charge a fee, but may charge a legally permitted reasonable fee or decline requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, repetitive, technically infeasible, or subject to a legal exception.

If Scryon processes information only for a customer, we may refer the request to that customer or ask you to contact it directly. We will assist the customer as required by our Data Processing Addendum.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. This does not prohibit a lawful difference reasonably related to the value or necessity of data, where recognized by law.

6. Appeals and regulatory complaints

If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying within 60 days with the subject "Privacy Appeal" and explaining why the decision should be reconsidered. We will review the appeal through personnel able to reconsider the original outcome and respond within the period required by applicable law.

You may also contact your state attorney general or applicable privacy regulator. In the EEA, you may complain to the supervisory authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. In the UK, you may contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
