Overview Storage we use Analytics Durations Your choices Contact and updates

Operational draft: This policy should be reviewed after a production cookie scan is completed. Google Analytics settings and durations, cookie domains, and any application authentication storage must be validated before commercial reliance.

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Scryon uses cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies on scryon.io and app.scryon.io. These technologies can store or access information on your browser or device. Our Privacy Notice explains how we process related personal information.

Except for storage strictly necessary to provide a service you request, Scryon uses a global opt-in approach on the public website. Non-essential analytics does not load unless you affirmatively accept it through the site's consent controls.

2. Categories of storage

Strictly necessary

Necessary technologies support functions such as security, network delivery, authentication, load balancing, fraud prevention, saving privacy choices, and maintaining a session. They cannot always be disabled through our controls because the requested site or Service may not function without them.

Analytics

Analytics technologies help us understand page visits, interactions, device and browser characteristics, approximate location derived from IP address, referral information, and site performance. We intend to activate analytics only after consent where required or under our global opt-in standard.

Scryon does not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising or sensitive-data targeting.

3. Current confirmed provider

The public website code confirms use of Google Analytics, provided by Google. When enabled, Google Analytics may set or read identifiers and receive technical and interaction information to produce website-usage reports. Google's processing, data location, retention, and transfer terms depend on Scryon's account configuration and Google's applicable terms. Those settings require validation.

Salesforce, HubSpot, and Slack are confirmed Service integrations, but their presence as integrations does not establish that they set public-site cookies. Application authentication and connected-service storage should be documented after an authenticated production review.

4. Names and durations

The following reflects currently supported categories, not a completed production inventory:

  • Consent preference: first-party local storage named scryon_cookie_preferences remembers whether you accepted, rejected, or customized non-essential analytics. It remains until you clear site data or Scryon replaces it with a new consent version.
  • Google Analytics identifiers: commonly include names beginning with _ga. Exact names and lifetimes depend on the deployed Google Analytics configuration and may be shortened by browsers or user settings.
  • Application session and security storage: may persist for a session or longer according to authentication and security needs. Exact names and durations require an authenticated application inventory.

Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser. Persistent storage remains until its configured expiry or until you remove it. We will update this policy with verified names and durations after implementation and scanning.

5. Manage your choices

You can use the site's cookie banner or "Cookie Preferences" control to accept, reject, or customize non-essential analytics and later withdraw consent. Rejecting analytics should not prevent access to core public-site content. Withdrawing consent stops future optional collection but does not invalidate processing that occurred while consent was active.

Where supported, Scryon treats a browser Global Privacy Control signal as a rejection of non-essential analytics. You can also block or delete storage through your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage may prevent login, security, or requested functionality.

Browser guidance is available from major providers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Google also offers browser tools for limiting Google Analytics. These third-party controls are provided under their own terms.

6. Contact and updates

For questions or to exercise privacy rights, email privacy@scryon.io or see Privacy Choices. We may update this policy when technologies, providers, or legal requirements change and will revise the effective date and version.
