Acceptable Use Policy

Operational draft: Counsel should review this policy with the Terms of Service and product controls before commercial reliance, particularly permitted resale, outreach restrictions, high-impact AI uses, sanctions, and enforcement procedures.

1. Scope and responsibility

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to access to and use of Scryon's websites, application, APIs, integrations, data, reports, scores, predictions, AI outputs, and related services. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Customers are responsible for their users, credentials, instructions, exports, campaigns, and downstream use.

You must use the Service only for legitimate B2B event intelligence and related internal business purposes authorized by your agreement. If you are unsure whether a use is permitted, contact hello@scryon.io before proceeding.

2. Unlawful and rights-violating use

You may not use the Service to:

• violate privacy, data-protection, marketing, anti-spam, consumer-protection, employment, sanctions, export-control, intellectual-property, computer-misuse, or other applicable law;
• collect, disclose, contact, monitor, or profile a person without required notice, authority, consent, lawful basis, or opt-out process;
• infringe or misappropriate intellectual property, confidentiality, publicity, contractual, database, or other rights;
• facilitate fraud, deception, phishing, impersonation, illegal goods or services, or evasion of legal obligations; or
• ignore a valid objection, deletion, consent withdrawal, do-not-contact request, or suppression signal.

3. Personal data, scraping, and resale

You may not:

• upload or seek sensitive personal information, including health, biometric, precise-geolocation, financial-account, government-identifier, or similarly regulated data, unless Scryon expressly agrees in writing;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, download, enumerate, or extract the Service or its data through unauthorized automated means or beyond documented rate and access limits;
• use Scryon to conduct unlawful scraping of third-party services or to evade robots, authentication, paywalls, technical controls, or binding access restrictions;
• resell, sublicense, publish, redistribute, broker, or create a standalone or competing personal-data, event-data, or enrichment database from the Service without express written authorization;
• combine data to re-identify a person from de-identified, aggregated, or pseudonymous information, or attempt to identify anonymous users; or
• reintroduce, reconstruct, or obtain from another source a record known to be deleted, opted out, or suppressed.

4. Outreach and communications

You may not use Service data to send spam, unlawful cold outreach, deceptive messages, or communications that lack required identification, disclosures, consent, unsubscribe controls, or suppression screening. You must comply with applicable channel rules and laws, including rules governing email, telephone, text, and social-platform messages.

Event participation or a public professional profile does not by itself establish consent to marketing. You must assess the recipient, jurisdiction, source, relationship, message, and lawful basis and must honor opt-outs promptly.

5. Sensitive targeting, surveillance, and discrimination

You may not use the Service or infer information to:

• target, exclude, rank, or exploit people based on race or ethnicity, religion, political belief, union membership, genetics, biometrics, health, disability, sex life, sexual orientation, immigration status, precise location, or another sensitive or protected trait;
• conduct covert surveillance, stalking, harassment, doxxing, intimidation, or physical tracking;
• make or materially support decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, education, legal services, government benefits, eligibility, or access to essential services;
• discriminate unlawfully or create a substantial risk of physical, financial, reputational, psychological, or dignitary harm; or
• treat AI outputs, match scores, attendance predictions, or inferred attributes as verified facts without meaningful human review.

6. Security, credentials, and service integrity

You may not:

• access another account, system, or data without authorization or share credentials outside authorized users;
• probe, scan, test, or exploit vulnerabilities without Scryon's prior written authorization;
• introduce malware, destructive code, excessive traffic, denial-of-service activity, or other interference;
• circumvent authentication, authorization, credit metering, rate limits, usage controls, or security measures;
• reverse engineer or attempt to discover source code, models, prompts, or non-public systems except to the limited extent law prohibits restriction; or
• misrepresent the source, accuracy, endorsement, or ownership of Scryon data or outputs.

Good-faith security reports should be sent to hello@scryon.io. Do not access, alter, retain, or disclose data beyond what is minimally necessary to report a suspected issue.

7. Monitoring, reporting, and enforcement

Scryon may investigate suspected violations using proportionate means and may remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate access, preserve evidence, or notify affected parties or authorities where reasonably necessary. Where practical and safe, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Urgent action may be taken without prior notice to address security, legal, or harm risks.

Report suspected misuse to hello@scryon.io or privacy concerns to privacy@scryon.io. Scryon may update this Policy prospectively by changing its effective date and version and giving notice where required.
